CUBE

these are different ideas for the radio spot and some could be used for stop motion. We are really behind and have to get this all rolling. Ryan mentioned that we should do a pandora commercial so they would have to be super quick spots.

Mm, I'm feeling a bit underdressed.

sharks

The storm drain can still be gils. Or it could look like an open mouth. The headline will be the design element.

A message would show
"NO DUMPING
Be considerate to Sharks' strict opponent diet"

San Jose Sharks

For tags i was thinking:

-Let it out. (fans will definitely show their team spirit)
This campaign would actually show emotions of fans whether it be crying, screaming, or cheering.

-Fans Unite. (pretty close to the first idea, but this would be based upon bringing fans together)

-Light it up. (the sharks were recently really big into donating and being involved personally in environmentally friendly lightbulbs). For a billboard i was thinking the sharks logo but with a lightbulb in the sharks mouth instead of a hockey stick.

-We're Back. (not only are the sharks back, but the fans are too. It could be based on fans coming back to the season from their every day lives. I see a business man with his suit, tie, and briefcase, with something out of the ordinary possibly a blacked out tooth, or something more noticeable like facepaint. This could work for a few diverse careers or pastimes.)

Clearly I haven't defined integrated medias yet, but thats the next step for me if some of these sound interesting. Please let me know what you think.

sharks

im thinking the last one could be a taxi ad where it hits on the speed of the taxi, shark and team. If I get the wording right, does it feel like a full campaign?--

Stealth Season would be the tagline for this campaign. I figured there would be reiteration if it was shark season.

another layout for the website

sharks

for guerilla-- air vents shaped as gils-- a line can be here that can tie it more to the billboard.-- something about cold air relating it back to hockey.

or storm drains. i like this idea but would def be needing help with copy.
Single idea for an out door. prob a billboard.

I'm also thinking of Shark Season for the tagline.

Picture of sharks hockey player with his front teeth out.--
copy-- "Sharks play harder because their teeth grow back"

Or it could simply state "sharks grow always grow their teeth back"
"Sharks go through thousands of teeth"

Idea wise?

I'm thinking for a tagline "its shark season"

I still like the other idea about the bus and the smudged faces that i put up, but it seems like josie is doing something similar so not doing that anymore.

for guerilla locations-- I was thinking doing it in
great america,
monterey bay or
wild rivers. at wild rivers, they already have a shark ride, but it's very kiddie. I'm seeing potential manipulation.

Website

Here are some of the changes I did for the website.

Josie Jackie Lori Cube

Cube Logo.. I took your direction and this is what I came up with. I actually prefer all lower case just because it gives it a nicer, more personal feel. (rather than YELLING at you with caps)

Josie Sharks

Okay, here are more ideas.
"Are you ready to return to the tank?"

1. Graphics of a shark tank/aquarium covering the entire bus, with a puck stuck in the glass, creating a dent and/or cracks.

2. Graphics of fans pounding on the glass, creating cracks and/or dents, placed on taxi cabs. On top of the taxi cab would be a shark fin.

3. OR for the taxi cab, I could do a graphic of the fans being smashed against the glass making funny faces. Also, with the shark fin on top and possibly graphics of the shark tank on the sides of the cab.

I wanted to do some guerrilla where there is a hockey fan enclosed in a box (with the top of for air!) of clear plexi glass, mimicking the boundary of the hockey arena. Instead, of being on the outside of the game, he is on the inside, with graphics of the shark tank plastered on the plexi, about waist-high. Inspired by that NHL baby commercial, he would be banging on the glass talking to people like "HEY, HOW ARE YOU?" "BEAUTIFUL DAY, ISN'T IT?" "DO YOU HAVE THE TIME?!" etc. And on the top of the entire box, it would read "Are you ready to return to the Shark Tank? [date]"

SHARKS THUMBS

So, I already showed Megan and Ryan some of my ideas on Thursday and Ryan told me to expand on my stronger ideas. I have 2 campaigns in mind, one is about how powerful the Sharks are, and the second one is how violent the game can be, because that's partly why people watch it. I'll start on the first one.

1. A taxi with dents and fractures all over its body will roam around the city announcing the Sharks on its billboard. To show how powerful their shoots are. ( this can be a guirella as well)

2. A puck will be placed on a Bart poster glass with the cracked glass around it.

(those two have been approved)

3. A billboard where a puck will be placed and there's a big tear following it, showing the broken and bended metal behind it.

4. A block of ice will be placed on the street where we can see multiple pucks being stuck inside, to show how powerful the players are.

I'm still thinking of more taglines to go with those.

As for the second campaign, I want to show how violent the game can be.

This will be a Bart poster where we can see a player being mushed in and we can see his teeth on the floor. The tagline can be 'real game, real violence' or something. ( this has been approved)

This one will be a guirella where we place cups either in restaurants, coffee shop or even in office dispenser. I saw this nose cup one time and thought it will be funny if we also place a puck coming to the nose, as if saying we dare you to come to the game.
This will be a bus poster where we place place plastic human teeth in rows and the headline can be ' an average shark loses 4-5 teeth yearly.' or it can be a print poster instead.

A nose bandage will be placed around the city at statues or sculpture and we can say that the Sharks is coming or they've just gone to the Shark's game or something. Let me know what you guys think! :)

Sharks!

Hi, here are a few ideas for the San Jose Sharks campaign.

The first one is an elavetor campaign where it is a picture of a San Jose Shark player smashing into another player as the lift door closes.

The second one is a drink display in shops with the sliding door. I wanted to put a pug at one side of the door and a hockey goalie at the other side. So when you slide the door, the pug will be on the goalie's hand.

The third one is one of those goccery store conveyor belt. I was thinking of putting a hockey player on one end and the net on the other end. The belt will have moving pugs paste to give a sense of movement.

The fourth one required 2 or three BART ad spaces. You can see that the San Jose Shark smash through the side of two BART ads to reach to the other player.

The last one is a bloodied hockey shirt(not the Sharks) found on the beach and there will be a tagline that says "Shark Attack. Tune in to NHL for the San Jose Sharks."

Josie Jackie Lori CUBE

Hellooo. Here are a few updates from the micro-site. Don't mind the copy, it was my poor attempt, I am going to let Lori shine with that one ;). As for the micro-site, this is just the beginning of this new look and feel.. As well as the type treatment for the cubeandi.com

Sorry that the micro-site isn't in a browser, it was just a quick screen shot

Josie Sharks

Okay, so going with the glass idea, here are a few more directions.

First execution is the funny faces smashed on the glass with their popcorn or faces painted shark colors (sharks on them, etc) on either Caltrain or BART windows, or even turn bus shelters themselves into that.

Secondly, I was thinking of going towards the more extreme crazy NHL fans, like the ones who yell, get into fights with opposing fans, etc. This one I thought could be interesting on the cab windows themselves (rather than the top of the cab where ads are) and it would be a girl flashing (censored) with a line similar to "Anything for a Shark" or "...the Sharks."

This could also work out with images of people banging on the glass like yelling at the game, pressed up against it. Or, people screaming and jumping up against it, etc.

Another completely different idea I had was the coinage of the Shark Tank. Since if it is their goal and relating to their name, the lines of "Are you worthy of the Shark Tank?" and "Can you handle/make it in the Shark Tank?" came into my mind. So, then I was thinking of turning a bus into an underwater scene with sharks swimming around. And possibly a fan? Or could that possibly go horribly wrong,? Ha.

I am a little stuck, but let me know if I am headed in the right direction.

Two Games, One Tonight, One Tomorrow

If anyone can get to a game they are playing tonight and tomorrow night. It is a preseason game but the people who do come out to watch are the true Sharks fans. It's great to go cause you can expereince it and see what this team is all about. Only thing is some of the stars of the team may not play, they did not last night as they were having mostly the minor league guys play to see who will be worthly enough to swim in the tank. I will be at tomorrow nights game.

Another Sharks thought

Ok, so my husband is a big fan and was super excited when i told him about this assignemnt so i have to get this right. Another idea i had was again to have the Sharks head at the SJ Airport as people are coming out of the plane and ito the waiting area we would have a Shraks head for them to walk through. With a sign that says "This is Shark's Territory!" This could work for the rival team team idea as that is the airport that they come to when they play against the Sharks. Fans would love it but the rival team would be "Did i just walk through a Sharks mouth?" Anywho my husband thought this was great. Thoughts?

Kamil and I have been working on the look of our Dexter campaign.
This is the basic layout for the billboard, we're working on the slides and blood (it'll be on a slide instead of the plain white background). Do you think the font works well with the campaign?

Erica, Tim, Billy and Kim

Hi, here is the new layout for the website,

When you go to the map page, the navigator will disappear but you can return home with the cube logo on the top left corner.

Josie Sharks

Hola, so here are a couple ideas. When I think of hockey I think of crazy fans getting pumped up over not only the game, but the action outside of the game- the fans, the conflicts, the energy.

So, I wanted to emphasize the culture and emotions people feel when at the game (whether you are into hockey or not!)

A guerrilla idea I had was to put "blood zone" or "shark splash zone" or something similar to those "wet zones" at water places like Marine World, Sea World, etc. I wanted to place these somewhere obvious like at the dive/sports bars that these fans go to to watch the games. One example would be at the bar itself, on the floor perhaps, or somewhere relevant where people watching the game would immediately understand.

Another execution of this idea would be at bus or train stops like on the street where the boxes are marked as "bus stop."

Not sure if these blend between outdoor and guerrilla, but I had the idea of using any sort of location where you see glass (MUNI windows, BART windows, bus shelters) and having hockey players' faces smashed on the glass. It would be a vinyl sticker with their faces on their, so it would be easy to apply to any sort of glass. (Perhaps even on the giant windows of the sports stores).

Basically, the idea is that these fans are getting hyped on the game, by utilizing the action in and outside of the game. As well as the energy.

Let me know if the direction I am headed in is okay! :)

A typical SHARKS GOAL!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU1gc9xT13I&feature=related

guerilla sharks

i'm spitting again.

for guerilla--- apparently theres the largest monopoly in the park. It's a live version of the game and its on the floor.

maybe putting skate tracks on top of it. don't want to deface it in any way. maybe a sheen layer of plastic so it gives it an icy effect?

LETS GO SHARKS!

So, I've got some visual ideas.

I was playing around with a "let's prey" or "sharks prey" to play off of their predatory status and to kinda do the pray to win a stanley cup this year. i dont know if it can be twisted in a different way that its not them praying to win a cup though.

anyways, other than that, it will just be an awareness campaign for their new season. I want the Stanley cup to read through though.

On a bus--the glass will look like smudge marks of faces shoved on the boundary walls of the ice rink.

I originally thought of that as a billboard, but a bus is just smarter.

I don't know if this is guerilla or ambient, but a shark in a coffee cup. This is a really loose suggestion. I'm sure theres better guerillas.

I don't know if this is defacing the team. God I seem to do that too much. At a smoke shop, there will be a strategically placed open box of empty cigars with Sharks.---close but no cigar?

A bus shelter designed as a Goalie net

A penalty box at a kindergarten class--- or something along these lines for guerilla.

I just shot some ideas out hoping to get quick feedback. I'm liking the the bus shelter and the bus with the smudge marks. What do you guys think?

Taiyo - Sharks

So to tie in to my idea that i posted yesterday, my two outdoor media will be posters in the caltrain stations and inside the trains. They'll be warning posters of shark attacks:

WARNING NOTICE

Warning, shark safety measures have been installed at this station/in this train.

Obviously there will be more copy than that, hope it's in the right direction.

Sharks guerilla

Here's my guerilla idea for the Sharks:

Place bitten off hockey sticks (related to their logo) in random places throughout downtown San Jose and by caltrain stations, with the season start date (october 1) written on them.

more to follow on the outdoor, let me know if you think this works.

HOMEWORK DUE NEXT WEEK

CREATIVES

- Finalized Sharks campaign (1 guerilla, 2 outdoor)

You need to get your ideas approved BEFORE comping - which means posting to the blog and getting a yes/no verdict on your ideas. Some of you already have a go ahead on this.

- Finalized cube campaign
Again, if you're behind and don't have a complete approved campaign, get your ideas approved ASAP. Start comping the ones you have approval for. If your group has a film component for cube, you should have all other aspects of the campaign finalized, but the spot, we realize, will take longer.

- True Blood / Dexter computer comps
First round computer comps for your approved idea. Same thing goes in terms of getting final approval for your ideas, if you didn't in class.

PLANNERS

I'm checking with Melinda about your briefs from previous classes to see if we can help. Please wait to email until I confirm with her. Please proceed with your assignments:

- Mood boards, scheduling / milestones, updating / formatting your briefs for this class, finalizing the next secret project brief

Let's go SHARKS!!!!!!!

OK, so here are my thoughts on the Sharks:
1. "Make this year count"
This campaign would feature the stars of the team like Thornton, Marleau, Nabokov, just to name a few. I would have billboards that show the Shark's players smiling but instead of people teeth they would have shark teeth, even maybe some missing teeth. Also, maybe a fun fact about the player. With a logo and tag line that says "100% Shark. 100% Hockey" or "This is Sharks territory."

2.Shark!!
This idea is about how people scream "Shark" like when you are in the water. I would have buses and taxi's transformed into Sharks with fins on top. Also, maybe place fins in drinking fountains around San Jose, with some copy like "The season is coming." Other idea would be to have the Shark head being at the end of a tunnel so the opposite side could see cars coming out of the sharks mouth. Some shark bites around buildings or trees with the SJ logo might be cool too.

3. The ultimate fan:
Just like one but instead of players it would be fans who have the shark teeth with facts about the team.

4. Competitors:
This campaign would feature how the Sharks would defeat or scare off the competition. For example place fin in a duck pond to scare away those dang Mighty Ducks.

Just a few thoughts. Let me know what may work and i can come up with more ideas.

Let's face it, "wait- what's that, a face?" Yeah, that's right. You've lost contact with all thats real, because technology has taken on all new forms of your social
life. Nowadays, communicating with your estranged friend on facebook
is easier than giving your best friend a hug after Fluffy died. You,
too, are guilty of a glorified feeling that comes with virtually
proclaiming success after cooking macaroni and cheese from a box.
Unfortunately, this self worth has carried onto other aspects of
your life that led you to delcare "My lawn needs a mow" at your office
meeting. There's something deep and celebrity in the need to express our most common and innate details of our lives, but our dependence on technology has made our human interaction clumsy. But It's okay, really, we understand. Which is why, we are offering the Nissan Cube. Cube is a funky, spacious, customizable and most importantly technologic efficient vehicle that will never fail to get you noticed. It's time to rekindle that long forgotten night out.

CUBE Mei Kim, Billy, Tim, Erica

Hey, I think Tim's idea is kinda cool, i love how you figure out the connection between being mobile, and speed. I agree that the connection to the phone seems a little bit outdated, but how about making it "Easy Dial" or "Closely Connected" or something else, but this time we don't put the mph in the speedometer, how about if we put a number of contact names, so it's like going to friends house, it's being mobile. What dya think?

integrated campaign

I feel dumb for forgetting to bring this in last week. Anyways, I'm remembering a great integrated campaign mainly because of one of its insanely genius guerilla web post. For the release of the Wario Land: Shake it on Wii, different media sources were utilized to create a strong ad campaign.

This link I found is a video of the what was on a youtube page. Its a regular youtube video until the screen starts shaking falling down! It's entirely too memorable.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQN1LQvkNa0&feature=related

They also set up a cool interractive video website with games included

They also had very successful commercials as a part of the campaign.

Cube: Mei Kim team

Mei Kim, here is another idea for the Vibrate campaign. Can you art direct something with this? Also I was thinking we could do a similar one with a ringtone... But somehow keeping the idea a social one. I can always play with body copy on that if instructor signs off.

Dexter Team: Michelle, Taiyo, Kamil, Tim

Here are a few of the Dexter ads I have been working on. What do you think?

Dexter

Here's a couple ideas I have so far for Dexter:

- Placing objects around the city that look like human forms - such as plastic bags, when you go closer you just realize that it's trash, but from far it could look like a person crouching down, etc.

-Help wanted
Dexter wanting help around the house.
"Nanny wanted while father kills." (it's super rough, but that's the general idea)
This could be posted online, or even record phone calls to daycare/babysitting agencies.

-New baby
Send out postcards (physically and virtually) that shares the happy news of the new baby, but twist it in the writing mentioning Dexters hectic life or his hopes for the baby to not turn out like him.

-Blood stains
Have bloodlike substances flow out of areas in the city, maybe paint? it could appear to be seeping out of alleys or doors, and when the viewer goes closer, it'll have a little call to action/info for the show

Michele, please tell me if I'm right on track, and the rest of the group (Kamil and Tim), I hope you can share your ideas with everyone and work on everything together.

More Dexter

A few more brief ideas....

1. Hiding in plain sight.
-this could be cool if we sort of hid things from viewers, but whatever we're hiding is in plain sight, so maybe viral video. We could hide something and then film passerby's not noticing it.

2. Stick to the Code.
-Dexter has a specific code he follows of guidelines that his foster father set down for him. Not sure what we'd do yet, but the idea sounded sort of interesting.

3. Trick of the Trade
-Dexter always saves a drop of blood from his victims on a glass slide, and then saves them all in a wooden box hidden in his air conditioner. I was hoping my art directors could think of some way to portray this.

Dexter

I want to use this song for something, not quite sure yet.
Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Dexter thoughts

Kodai and Laura plus Vickie and Shannon

Dexter Ideas

Kodai and I had a chance to meet and here is what we came up with.

  1. “The neck bones connected to head bone?”

One idea we had for this was to have different body parts scattered through out the city with a sign that would say something like “Watch Dexter only on Showtime.” Another idea we had was to have a crime scenes roped off and have the outline of the dead body but without an arm so it would not be a complete outline. We could do a give away of “Barbie” dolls with missing pieces from the body. We could also give away stickers of hands that you could out up in places where you would try and escape. And lastly we though we could have blood splatter in different places with a sign next to it that says watch Dexter.

  1. “Everyone has a secret”

Show ordinary people like a schoolteacher on one side but then when you flip the page she has a dark side of lets say being a stripper at night. This would be print. We could also do fake craigslist ads about people wanting to do their secret services at night.

  1. “A taste of Dexter”

We thought we could invade shows and have Dexter come out and try to kill them but then he realizes they are innocent. We could have him go on the Simpson’s and try to kill Homer but then he doesn’t and realizes he is on the wrong show.

  1. “Police can’t get to everyone”

We thought we could have Dexter do fake CRaigslist ads to offer his services. We would have black garbage bags in different places with make a hand or leg sticking out with a sign that reads “One less child molester, Thank you Dexter.”

5. Not sure where this falls in but we thought we could recreate the game “Operation” but it could be the Dexter version and you would pull out bones and body parts.

Taiyo, Syanne, Scottie

This is the direction we're going for with the Nissan Cube.

-Giant Cube
As we said last class, we'll have giant cube hang out spots set up in the city (union square, ferry plaza, alamo square, dolores park, golden gate park). People can visit them and hang out, post photos of themselves, share cube experiences. We're thinking about integrating a photo booth there as well.

-Cube Drive
Kind of like the 49 mile SF scenic drive. We'll be handing out maps with directions to each giant cube. There will also be street signs, and billboards off nearest freeway exits.

-Outdoor Placements
There will be floor areas divided off in cafes and other hang out spots. Since ours is an anti-social networking site campaign, it'll congratulate the reader for being outside and socializing physically with people. It'll talk about the hang out spot and we'll leave maps in nearby places so people can pick them up.

-Event Photos
This is going off the photographers that are at clubs/events. Instead of taking a photo and handing out little cards with web links to see it online, we'll be handing out directions to the nearest cube and when it would be posted.

Mei Kim, Ben, Lori

For True Blood

Our Idea is "Vampires Integrated into Society"

One idea/execution we had was, just to drive it home, we wanted to show what it would be like if vampires were now among us all. There could be fake craigslist postings for used coffins under: For Sale, Furniture section with wild postings. On bulletin boards, we could post how roommates are wanted, etc. Whatever the average humans do, we wanted to make Vampires a part of that. Weird but True blood is def weird. lol.

Cube and I

Josie, Josie, Jackie and Lori

This is another twist on the copy for the lines that go on the binder paper notes.

These are more enticing from the Nissan Cube and really really inspired from Josie's secret admirer. Here is a few. I have tons where that came from.

From the Cube

1) I don’t know if you believe in love at first site but maybe I can change your mind.

2) Allow me to introduce myself, I am 5’5 and have a fairly curvy body. I thought we might be good together. Interested?

3) Hi, I’m new to the city and looking for someone to show me around town.
I think we could go places. We could compliment each other, on and off the street.

4) Hi there. I think we’d look good together and would love the chance to introduce myself to you in person.

5) Hi, I am 5’5, cute, curvy, and pretty unique. I like long drives, hitting the road, but mostly hanging out. Overall, I think I am pretty versatile. If this interests you at all, I have a webpage you can catch me at.

6) Hi there. I am usually always on the go but I thought I’d stop to drop off a note to you.

7) I think I might have some qualities that may interest you. You look like my type and together I thought we could be the hottest thing on the street.

TRUE BLOOD (BEN, MAI KIM, LORI)

For my idea, I thought about creating an environment in our real world, where we introduced the dangers of using V. So, we would advertise everywhere, making sound as if V was the new cocaine or meth. We will place several warning ads to make sure people can stay away from it. (Refer to my first image)

Secondly, we will advise everyone to stay away from vampires, because hanging out with vampires doesn't lead to anything good. Bars will have signs that say, we don't serve vampires. So, once again, making it a taboo. (image 2)

The third idea will play together nicely, once everything else is set into place. We will create a underground party for people that love doing V. So we will invite everyone trough text and emails, at a very last minute. (sort of thing) then when everyone shows up, it will be a True Blood event. But just having everything played out from the beginning, will give this underground party a sort of illegal feel to it. (Image 3)

Cube "Social Etiquette" Ideas

Social Etiquette Ideas:

  1. This would be most likely be a commercial showing people at a party but no one is dancing. Music is playing and tons of people are there but they are not having a good time, everyone seems like they don’t know what to say. Small talk is minimal. One guy gets up and tells the host he has to go and ask if anyone needs a ride. Four people get up and say they want to leave too. Once everyone is in the car he turns on his music and everyone starts to sing along. There is tons of smiles and talking. We pan out and see that they are still in front of the house and haven’t even driven off yet. People are looking out the window of the house with envy. One guy says, “Now that’s a party.”
  2. Probably another commercial:

Two couples are on a double date and seem to not be having a good time. Waiter comes and gives them their check. Valet pulls up with the car. As soon as they get in the cube and the music starts one guy starts singing and one by one everyone joins in. Then everyone realizes that the valet driver is still in the car singing along with them. He gets out of the car and says, “Wish I was one of them. They must have had a blast at dinner.”

Dexter Josie Liz Billy Jackie

To elaborate on Liz, the idea of the saran wrap and/or blood prints would be our consistent element to help bring the entire campaign together. for the BART, I thought having a sticker of the finely cleaned/chopped up body parts and then thickly wrapped around in layers of saran wrap would create buzz. At the bottom it would read "What lies beneath?" (obviously a diff headline) and the date: 09.27.09. Other executions would include the BART platform itself, where there a bloody foot prints that lead off of the platform and if you look across the tracks, there are bloody handprints seemingly reaching for the BART ad boards. On the sign it says, "What lies beneath? 09.27.09" (new headline)

Another completely different idea would fall under Inner Guilt. While Dexter himself does not feel guilt, we want to make the viewer feel it. One execution would be a mini "choose your adventure" book where the consumer can choose different scenarios throughout Dexter's process of murder. It would obviously be mainly copy-driven, but art direction is also key in making this work. I will have thumbs up soon, I am just lacking a scanner.

Successful Integrated Campaign

I love INFECT THE TRUTH campaigns.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do5eTAg9qMo

They are very successful in that they know that people are going to continue to smoke, however, they give you something to chew on. Their executions of guerrilla are amazing. They have had break out singing and dancing, thousands of fake babies crying and crawling (in the video link), and a voice box cowboy singing in public. I felt that this campaign was more effective than the one they are running now with executives for a tobacco company. They were so obscure that it really made you think. I was a full time smoker, but their commercials really bugged me and kept sticking in the back of my mind. I've cut down immensely, so obviously they succeeded with me, and I'm sure that some other smokers felt the same way. They were trying to get everyones attention in a non-typical way, which to me personally was very effective and successful.

Dexter

I have already shared my ideas with my group and we're pushing them farther, but this is what I came up with.

1. What Lies Beneath (obviously horrible title, but just the idea), other possible titles under the same idea would be Below the Surface, Cutting Deeper, or A Deeper Cut
-I loved the idea of saran wrap based on how Dexter
sets up his murder scene, so i thought that a clean surface with saran wrap on it with a bloody word spelled out on top describing Dexter himself might be cool (it could say "Alone"...etc.)

-So then Josie and I discussed this and tho
ught that Saran wrap would be awesome! We were thinking of doing an ambient or guerrilla in Bart with saran wrap around the posts with bodies underneath, possibly blood pooled around the ground (she will post a better description of what we were thinking)

-I also started a print comp that showed the depth of Dexter's core. The white words all describe what Dexter wishes he was or could do and what other people see him as. Sorry the quality is kind of crappy, I couldn't load it properly.

2. Morbidly Seductive - this would show the alluring side of murder from Dexter's point of view

-this would include things that look murderous/dangerous but aren't (to mimic the opener of the show, examples are Dexter bleeding shaving, cutting fleshy ham, smothering himself putting on his t-shirt) but it would be unused ideas...

Let me know what you think

So here are a few of the older MAC ads I owed the class. These are the ones that really created the hype for the iPod, which utilize the characteristic white earbuds. I also included two that were created combining the levels of pop culture. You know a campaign is strong when it is being so heavily mimicked.

What real fans have to say.

Here are some hardcore Dexter fans chatting it up. Don't only pay attention to what they're saying, but what picture they've chose for their icon, what screen name they chose, etc.
Anything you can read into - use it. There are a lot of pages and a lot of useless information, but some good insight if you care to search for it.
Notice how many of them refer to him as "Dex" like his sister does in the show.

Good luck, Jackie

Lori, Ben and Kim's group

Hi, Hi; here is one true blood idea we came up with.

This is to relate True Blood vampires to the southern town of Bon-Tempt. The first one is an old postcard with the a tagline that says "Greetings from Bon-Tempt" but at the back of the postcard is covered with dried blood.

The second idea is voodoo dolls of the all the main characters in True Blood. It would raise a lot of awarness for the show of it's setting and plot.

The third one is a jar of vampire teeth used for voodoo incantations and it ties True Blood to myth stories of Louisana.
