SF agency

I pick T3.

Michigan

josie

Not sure what the assignment was as I had to work during our make-up class, but the agency I choose is:

Heat (http://www.sfheat.com/)
They are a small, local agency located at Pier 33, near Fisherman's Wharf. They've recently worked on advertising for the new California Academy of Arts in Golden Gate Park. They are on the smaller side of agencies, and believe in that sort of close-knit environment with big, creative ideas. Another big account of theirs is EA Sports, they recently did the "Skate It" campaign, as well as the Need for Speed and Dead Space games. I feel like this would be a great agency to work at because of the small environment that goes hand-in-hand with their big visions.
Sorry I missed class but I'm guessing we pick an agency we're interested in?

Here are some redo versions I did for Accu-Chek, I change the fonts and the billboard; I enlarge the icecream

Organic, Inc.

I would like to work in an advertising agency called Organic, Inc. They are a medium/small size company who have done ads for Bank of America, Little Big Planet for Sony Playstation and Jeep. I actually meet the Associate Creative Director of Organic, Daniel Turman and he told me that Organic is actually a part of a small BBDO creative branch. Also, he showed me a video of their working environment and it seem to be a fun place to be!

a little bit of fun

Hi guys, I know it's crunch time but I think there's nothing wrong with having a little fun time. Check out this link and learn what happens when a designer gets the client from hell:

Also, there's this cool Japanese music video, it looks really viral and might sparks some inspirations:

Oasis Cruise Lines - planner Michele Manila

Why does our client need to advertise?
It's 2009 & Oasis of the Seas
sails its first pre-inaugural cruise 12/1. It's new and
it's revolutionary
but cruise line cutbacks on world voyages
and exotic cruises will mean less choice and higher prices.
Who are we going to connect with?

The Mac Daddys

Hes Single.
A Male of superior looks. A player of players. A
romantic, a genuine and nice guy, who simply loves the company of hot women for people out of his realm: he's lady killer. Hes Single with tons of money.

If you're wondering, he might have been married before (but it doesn't matter)

(what does matter is:) Who he's traveling with: One or more of his many model looking girlfriends.

There is a connection with his money and his Women: they are his major source of power. They are his reason to be alive.

He finds these women in all the right places: "Baller" trips to Vegas (he gambles), at invite only parties, upscale bars and restaurants, VIP sections in the major cities of the US (including Gentlemen clubs), oh and they are
listed on online dating sites. Conveniently, his date is in all of the places he hangs out at... she can be described as: the girl who feels wealthy but she isnt. The only mojo she knows how to use is is her model like features- shes a hottie who flaunts it. She wears mini skirts, dyes her hair, and hangs out with women of similar kind. With the girl friends, she's at the gym, at the salon, or at the mansion of one of their Mac Daddys.

Insights WOMEN: They live a forward moving life and think to: "Party on, cuz there's no turning back." It's fulfilling as ever, and they act on impulses most of the time.
MEN: He likes good music and simple things in life too. He's not looking for the kind of love average are. His content & prideful motto: "I live a different life than most guys."

What is the goal?
We want the next chunk of money our target market
spends to be with Oasis.
What will the advertising do?
Keep this target market happy: and yes, this is the world’s largest cruise.People whohave this kind of money need
to experience the best to continue their life of extravagance.

Market competitors: -- other cruise ships are offering specials to coastal cities. Carnival Pride in Baltimore is on a year-round basis. But residents in or near other U.S. coastal cities, ranging from Charleston to San Francisco and from Boston to San Diego, also have more varied options -- often newer, more amenity-filled cruise ships -- than ever before. Carnival is also putting Carnival Triumph in Norfolk for the first time in 2009, and Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas will stay in Boston after a successful first run in 2008.

Last-Minute Cruising is back due to the economy

What we've seen: Fabulous last-minute cruise deals
are back, due to a soft economy. And although a last-minute cruise is defined roughly as a sailing that departs 15 days to 3 months in the future, we've seen super-cheap sailings just a few days out.

Here’s a diagram of the sports activities on deck that includes a mini-golf course, full-size tennis/basketball court, the wave-pools, and lounging area for sun-bathers.

Sounds like a good ship to go on a cruise, the Oasis of The Seas should be available as part of Royal Caribbean International’s offerings.

Press:

Oasis of the Seas is the largest and most revolutionary cruise ship in the world. An architectural marvel at sea, she spans 16 decks, encompasses 225,282 gross registered tons, carries 5,400 guests at double occupancy, and features 2,700 staterooms. Oasis of the Seas is the first ship to tout the cruise line’s new neighborhood concept of seven distinct themed areas, which includes Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone. The ship will sail from her home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Additional information is available at www.oasisoftheseas.com.
Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 21 ships currently in service and one under construction. The line also offers unique cruise tour land packages in Alaska, Canada, Dubai, Europe, and Australia and New Zealand. The US Census has created a list that reveals the best cities in the US for singles of either sex. We've divided it by best cities to male and single and best cities to be female and single…just remember…the best city for one sex, makes it the worst city for the other sex.

BEST FOR MEN

New York Metro: Single Women outnumber men by 210,000. No wonder the New York Yankees players have so much luck with the ladies.

Washington D.C. and Philly: Over 50,00 more single men than women. With all those fancy dates Obama keeps throwing Michelle…no guy can possible measure up.

BEST FOR WOMEN

• Los Angeles: Nearly 90,000 more unmarried men than women…that would explain the scene last weekend at Teddy’s…dudes a plenty. No wonder Paris loves Los Angeles.

San Francisco: 65,000 more single men that women. It’s possible there’s a little more going on than the census reveals in that stat.

So many single men in L A because most of these women want a man with cash. The rich guy typically has 3-7 women that are sharing him. The average guy gets left out. There is the gay factor, too.
