Hola, so here are a couple ideas. When I think of hockey I think of crazy fans getting pumped up over not only the game, but the action outside of the game- the fans, the conflicts, the energy.
So, I wanted to emphasize the culture and emotions people feel when at the game (whether you are into hockey or not!)
A guerrilla idea I had was to put "blood zone" or "shark splash zone" or something similar to those "wet zones" at water places like Marine World, Sea World, etc. I wanted to place these somewhere obvious like at the dive/sports bars that these fans go to to watch the games. One example would be at the bar itself, on the floor perhaps, or somewhere relevant where people watching the game would immediately understand.
Another execution of this idea would be at bus or train stops like on the street where the boxes are marked as "bus stop."
Not sure if these blend between outdoor and guerrilla, but I had the idea of using any sort of location where you see glass (MUNI windows, BART windows, bus shelters) and having hockey players' faces smashed on the glass. It would be a vinyl sticker with their faces on their, so it would be easy to apply to any sort of glass. (Perhaps even on the giant windows of the sports stores).
Basically, the idea is that these fans are getting hyped on the game, by utilizing the action in and outside of the game. As well as the energy.
Let me know if the direction I am headed in is okay! :)

I'm not too crazy about the splash zone. I'd scratch that.
ReplyDeleteYour guerilla glass idea is getting somewhere. What do fans do on the glass? They bang the glass to get hyped on the game. Try that direction.
