Here're my Sunkist Comps, Megan has approved the tagline written by Lori.

Ryan, I tried making the can opener looked 'opened' but when I already bought the photos, I just realized that it doesn't show the top of the orange, I hope this still works,

Here is the redo version

ATTN TIM, RYAN - LARA

Is the tagline Mouthful of Good or Mouth Full of Good? And are they working with the campaign? Please advise :)

Ninja final?

Attn: Dan for True Blood

Watch the opening sequence of the show and see how they treated the look and feel of the opening sequence. Your art direction should mimic it.

Also go to istock. I just typed in "swamp" and i got a lot of options. Just mimic the sequence with these photographs. Also make sure your copy is legible, pick the right color for your font.

Goodluck.

ATTN: Josie & Patty for Lära

Your shift on your gradients are too much. It's the gradient shift I told you guys not to do. Just think as a consumer. If you saw a color, what flavor will it represent?

Here are 2 examples on how you can treat your campaign. One with a border and one without. This is how the gradient should be treated. The brightest color behind your product and radiates. I used your little 'line' to enhance the featured flavor. Forget about the whole texture thing, it's not working.

I hope this helps.

So the last placement is on a screen since it is at night. I figured this would be a close way to show a different color background. I'm going to shoot some pictures of other placements for the last one.

heres a demo of how it can look, tell me if you guys like it.

DEADLINE EXTENSION: NOON MONDAY

So the deadline for the competition has been extended to NOON MONDAY for creatives, and something else for AP. So, last night at 4am in my delirium, I comped up a few Laras. Ryan, Patty and I like the last one (obviously its a little bare, not all the elements are there yet)

Attn Ryan,

I changed the headline in the billboard and changed the tagline with Tim's help.

MISSING BRIEFS 4planner: Michele Manila

Does anyone have copies of my Lara Bar Brief?

TRUE BLOOD

Here is the brief for anyone who is doing True Blood. Patty I will email this to you too.

Client: True Blood
Planner: Erica Vaughn

Why advertise?
While HBO has been hugely successful with its hit series “True Blood”, the show is being thrown in with the younger crowds “Twilight” and “Vampire Diaries”. This is not the right target audience for this series. “True Blood” is a much darker show with all the sex and violence a cable network could never get away with. This is not a comedic teenage love story, the characters are darker, creepier and their situations are meant for an adult audience.

What do we want to accomplish?
Create interest with an older crowd and get away from only advertising the sexual side of this show. We need to prove to the new audience that there is more to this storyline. This show has vampires, shape shifters, voodoo priest, fairies and rednecks. It has sex murder and every twist that you could imagine. There is a constant struggle for power in this show, human and vampires were never meant to mix. Not to mention it’s placed in the Deep South, which only adds to the “creepy” factor, we should be playing up on this! Let’s focus more on the idea that the vampires are the living dead walking among humans and less on the idea that vampires are sexy immortal beings.

Who are we talking to?
Male and Female 25 and up.

What insightful things do we know about them?
At this age the idea that life is just a party has faded, mostly because now that they are out of school and paying their own bills. They are very busy now with things like work or even starting a family, which means they are not always doing the things that they want. So when they get the chance to sit down and watch television, they don’t want something that is like every other show out there. They want something that is break from their everyday reality, something that gets their heart pumping. They simply do not want to watch some teenage soap opera that is just going to make them feel older; they want something that fits them. As an adult you want to watch something that is exactly that, adult.

What is the most effective message?
Nobody said co-existence would be pretty.

ATTN KAMIL

I added some edits to the sharks brief, please use this one for your work. Anyone else who needs a brief Sharks can use this to if its fits your work. If you need me to email it send me your email address, mine is ecsv23@gmail.com
Brand: San Jose Sharks
Planner: Erica Vaughn

Why do we need to advertise?
After a long break, hockey season is here again. It’s time to remind the Bay Area fans that the Sharks are back and it’s almost showtime. We want to build up the anticipation for the fans, remind them that tickets sell quickly, and that this is not a season to miss out on.

What do we want to accomplish?
We want to rekindle the hockey excitement. Get ticket sales up and remind people that the sport to be watching this season is hockey. We want to get people ready to kick this season off with a bang, and remind them that there’s no team without the fans.

Who are we talking to?
Already existing Bay Area hockey fans (predominantly male)

What do we know about them?
The Bay Area hockey fan is unapologetic in their love for the sport. Yes this sport is violent, but that is what they love about it most. Broken bones, chipped teeth and black eyes are part of the appeal to these fans. Nothing satisfies the hockey fan like a good fistfight after one of their favorite players is shoved into the boards.

What is the most insightful message?
No carnage, no glory, this is hockey.

Mood/tone/brand adjectives
Unapologetic, bold, rich colors, unpredictable, fast paced.

Some more Six Flags

Ok, here's another stab at it. How are these? I like 2 and 3.

dexter josie

is this a better shot for the muni execution?

josie zico

Changed the website to be a sports espn website. Not sure about the sign anymore it loses its simplicity and urgency with the new treatment.

So I think we are all a little stuck on what art direction will work. We have tried various textures and backgrounds, and none of them seem appealing, so I am wondering if you have any suggestions for us to move forward with. Right now we feel like any background we try to work with isn't going to get approved.

Fonts for Six Flags Headline

Ok, so here are some fonts we have worked with. Let us know which is the right one or the one that is getting close.

so this is the bart placement.. we are playing with using the name within the copy, or in front, or somehow incorporating it in rather than below the image. Patty has more incorporated ones that work perfectly.

josie accuchek

I'm waiting on my new camera to arrive before I can actually shoot all these. But here are some stock images to begin with.

With each execution I wanted to mimick the style that the actual signs are in.

Campaigns I would like to submit for final

Here is what i would like to include for sure:
San Jos Sharks
Dexter
Six Flags
Attune
Those i feel are strong, just some tweaking here and there, some more than others.

And if these come together:
Nooka
Slim Fast

Just need to spend some more time and these could be great.

And what ever else you may want to add.

accuChek

I'm thinking of this style for the art direction. I put the logo on the actual glove but I'm not sure if it is too small. background for it?

the other two will be a crown and the number one finger.

this is the crown image i will use, but it doesnt neccesarily have a good spot for placing copy on it. suggestions? different image?

i actually want to submit this one for winter show.

tagline good?

other taglines could be
everyday hero
defeat diabetes
everyday feats
daily feats
daily victor

what do ya think?

josie zico

So I used the same font I had on the banner for the tag/CTA. I am going to work on the banner next in integrating it with the other elements. So, you mentioned that having it on npr isn't a good idea, so should I still do the banners that we had talked about earlier (fake articles/banners on Yahoo!) that lead to zico.com?

Was also thinking:
Nature never slows
Nature never stops
Nature keeps going

Not sure on the tag, because it sounds clunky, but I do think "slows down" implies more about adrenaline and sports, etc
