So, I already showed Megan and Ryan some of my ideas on Thursday and Ryan told me to expand on my stronger ideas. I have 2 campaigns in mind, one is about how powerful the Sharks are, and the second one is how violent the game can be, because that's partly why people watch it. I'll start on the first one.
1. A taxi with dents and fractures all over its body will roam around the city announcing the Sharks on its billboard. To show how powerful their shoots are. ( this can be a guirella as well)
2. A puck will be placed on a Bart poster glass with the cracked glass around it.
(those two have been approved)
3. A billboard where a puck will be placed and there's a big tear following it, showing the broken and bended metal behind it.
4. A block of ice will be placed on the street where we can see multiple pucks being stuck inside, to show how powerful the players are.
I'm still thinking of more taglines to go with those.
As for the second campaign, I want to show how violent the game can be.
This one will be a guirella where we place cups either in restaurants, coffee shop or even in office dispenser. I saw this nose cup one time and thought it will be funny if we also place a puck coming to the nose, as if saying we dare you to come to the game.

Im not crazy about the noses and cup idea. Focus on the first idea. Just make sure you tie in the sharks back to your idea. I'll let you figure that one out. Remember integrated elements to make all your media cohesive. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your campaign focuses on promoting the pain the hockey players experience..
ReplyDeleteThe facts about the teeth are alright, but a bit boring. How else can you bring the fights, the glass smashing, and the cheering alive?
The fights are an important part in audience engagement- how can you take those fights and bring them to life outside the stadium?
What makes these fights special?
They are ON ICE. THey hold HOckey sticks, THey are wearing BLADES on their FEET. THE danger factor is UP.
It's an even fight. It's a short fight.
What else is happening during the fight?
Are other team members trying to get involved?
IS the audience cheering it on? Have they begun to fight each other?
The announcer is talking over them.
Rock music plays on...Buzzers go off... and it's over.
