Nice idea. Just make sure that the lawn chairs feels like its not someone's backyard. What is the big payoff at the end? Also make sure you can pull this off by the end of the semester. Good luck and have fun shooting this.
We figured the pay off was when the parents continued to drink the beer and be unphased. After showing this to Jackie, she mentioned that we still want the quality time with the parents so we added the parents coming out with the frizzy hair. Maybe there's a different way to show the parents interactions with them getting on the rides. Would the idea communicate as well if we get rid of the sixth frame, and the copy on the eighth frame would mention them dragging them out to the rides?
As I got home, I figured the lawn chairs were probably not a good idea and thought about having the parents leisurely standing in front of nice scenery.
I think the pay off is that the kids get to enjoy themselves on a family vaca while parents also enjoy themselves with the beer and time away from kids. At the same tine the family is bonding while spending s day together and not together. As for the parents I had imagined them on a amusement park type bench next to some trees and lots of people in the background. Kind of boardwalkesque
