Dexter Josie Liz Billy Jackie

To elaborate on Liz, the idea of the saran wrap and/or blood prints would be our consistent element to help bring the entire campaign together. for the BART, I thought having a sticker of the finely cleaned/chopped up body parts and then thickly wrapped around in layers of saran wrap would create buzz. At the bottom it would read "What lies beneath?" (obviously a diff headline) and the date: 09.27.09. Other executions would include the BART platform itself, where there a bloody foot prints that lead off of the platform and if you look across the tracks, there are bloody handprints seemingly reaching for the BART ad boards. On the sign it says, "What lies beneath? 09.27.09" (new headline)

Another completely different idea would fall under Inner Guilt. While Dexter himself does not feel guilt, we want to make the viewer feel it. One execution would be a mini "choose your adventure" book where the consumer can choose different scenarios throughout Dexter's process of murder. It would obviously be mainly copy-driven, but art direction is also key in making this work. I will have thumbs up soon, I am just lacking a scanner.

  1. The last idea could also be an interactive mini site. You would click your next move....Same idea easier execution.

  2. Oh, this could be good too. We can weigh the benefits of each, I just like the idea of flipping through a book page for page waiting through the suspense. You know, a good thriller book? BUt interactive mini-site is a great idea too.. although may be too similar to the doritos micro-site.

  3. nice ideas. just remember when you plan on executing, be sure you guys can do it. Because sometimes, it looks nice when it's written down but when it's time to execute, how should i say this nicely, SUCKS!

So if you are planning on executing something that you haven't done before, I'd start playing around with it NOW. You have 2 full months to make it all nice.
