BUSCH GARDENS tim patty josie

Here is a very rough comp of our website. Please note it is extremely rough and is painful to even look at, haha.

The idea is that the family is a modern-day family, full of distractions and disconnect. When going to Busch Gardens, however, family time is something that both the parents and kids can enjoy. The parents have the opportunity to "be adults" with the option of beer, while the kids have the option of roller coasters, etc. In the end, however, parents and kids are united at the park for some good ol' fun.

Sorry it's not in a website browser, I just wanted to show some quick screen shots. The first is a Splash page, and will actually be replaced with a different picture-- that typical awkward family photo, with great, big smiles.

Tim, I need your help on copy. As for the pages for the website, I wasn't sure what other information we should include, and I thought those three (ABOUT, ATTRACTIONS, GENERAL PARK INFO) should suffice. Here is what I've written/gathered so far. I just need your magic:

  1. Art Directors: YOU HAVE TO PUSH THIS DESIGN 500%. I know this is a very rough wireframe, but remember your target. What are they looking for? What kind of designs do they like?

I've listed some sites to get your creative genius in you come out.

    www.cloudywithachanceofmeatballs.com
    www.cubeclub-chemnitz.de
    www.panelfly.com
    www.muttink.com
    www.luthierservices.com
    www.optuswhalesong.com.au
    thisbythem.com
    www.menuiseriepl.ca

On these sites, look how they stepped out of the boundaries. Look at the layout, the fonts, the navigation, even those little design elements and how they make the whole design cohesive and structured in a way where it's clean and user friendly.

    Good luck!

  2. Hey guys, remember there are two locations, Florida and Virginia. Check out the current website to see how they deal with that.

  3. About:
Busch Gardens has been credited with having the feel of an old world European village. With the quant shops, beautiful backdrops of nature, and of coarse what old world village would be complete without the acoustics of horrifying, blood curdling screams of desperation as we put our patrons through a series of torturous rides and amusements. After all, a 205 foot 90 degree drop is a surefire way to check for witches in our ranks.

  4. Like the idea, not liking the execution. This campaign will need to have the copy work hard to push the idea.

Right now, the copy doesn't synch up with your idea. Play around with it more. The items you have listed could be found on the current site. A microsite should have new, relevant content the viewer can't find anywhere else. The spin on Virginia is interesting, but it feels like a completely different idea.
