This is an ad for Tim's Oasis of the Seas.
I'm not sure if it is too much of the see/say. I also don't know if I should add an image of the ship above the logo (I tried and it looked bad).
That would be a print ad.
Another headline: "Other ships orbit us." would be for a billboard. And the third headline: "We make the horizon self conscious." would be a sticker on a window of SF restaurant called: "Carnelian Room", where from the window one can see the ocean horizon. (picture attached)
So tell me if this is the right direction and what should I change.
Tim, give me any suggestions.

  1. I love the text treatment, and no, I don't think it is see say. It would be if you added the ship. This feel is perfect. What do the instructors say?

  2. I always envisioned the horizon ad as a billboard, but I like your suggestion to. What was your idea for visual solution for the orbit ad?

  3. the same execution, just with other cruise-ship swimming around it.

I wanted to make the horizon line on a billboard, but then we don't have the media for the third one. However, I was thinking that the type (other ships orbit us) could be in the middle of a fountain and then little ships would swim around it. (Both ideas doable on a photoshop). People could also make little paper ships and put it in the fountain. So let me know what you think.

  4. That could be a fun execution. I would say have the copy huge on a building, and then little ships on surrounding buildings.

The horizon one could be on a billboard where the copy pops beyond the normal cut, so it is over the horizon.

  6. Perfect! Go for it! I would do some treatment on your logo/tagline instead of showing the ship. Add branded elements.

Be careful on your choice of color for your copy. Make it pop just a bit and make your darker shades slightly darker (shadows on the 3-d.
