DEXTER josie jackie liz billy

Here is an idea of the blood on the glass. Would like some feedback and some help on copy or what to put on there. I wasnt sure what, so I just put the logo on there for now. I am doing the photoshoot tomorrow, and I'm not sure if I have to work or not yet, Billy, but I will cal you and let you know either way later tonight. Sorry for all the confusion. Anyways, so after the shoot tomorrow I am going to be editing photos and comping them up all together for final computer comps, woohoo! This includes the print campaign (BART, etc), as well as the MUNI guerrilla and BART saran wrap. Billy, how is the website coming along?

  1. I like it, but i would try the dexter logo that has blood spatters or include some random blood spatters. The blood spot looks maybe too uniform....even when the blood is between the slides it has some deformities to it.

  2. Agree with Liz on the blood looking too uniformed. Also, don't over saturate on the red. Idea on the glass, where else do you see glass? Try looking for possible placements besides a car.

For lines, aren't you guys leaning on the "signature" idea? An easy 1-2 words of copy will solve this. Also add the day and time the show is on.

That's it. Can't wait to see the saran wrap!

I'm sorry isn't one group already doing this idea?
If the idea is so close, shouldn't we then team up?

  4. Yes, there is another team using blood slides, but that is only the background element in their campaign. Their campaign is very headline-driven and using a blood slide as the element that brings all the pieces together. Our concept is focusing on the killer's signature, and how Dexter differs from other typical crime dramas. Because Dexter kills in such a unique way, we wanted to focus on the three key aspects of his style: syringe, blood slide, saran wrap.

Ultimately, it is an element that we are sharing, but the overall concepts are totally different.
