Here is another version. I think this is better and more neutral than anything else so far. I'm still working on the typefaces, and I think the picture is what is killing the design. Maybe I'll make it vector as well, not sure yet. Also, Ryan, you mentioned something about avoiding centering everything, but I think that there is not enough information (tabs, other links) to have a completely other space for just that. Plus, my eye is naturally drawn to organizing things, so that definitely plays into it. I tried working with the extra space, but it looks funky. And I don't want it to be TOO full of information, since it is a micro-site, a supplement to the real site. I think centering it may be best.
Feedback is appreciated! :)
Hey Josie. Take a break from this one. It looks like it's taking a toll on you. Did you check the sites I provided on your last post?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Sometimes as an AD, you need all the elements in place to start laying out stuff. Especially copy. I've said this to some of your peers, to add greek copy for placement issues. Did you see what Mei Kim did with the CUBE "Hotspot" website? She had the same problem. Stuck on the same layout and no direction. I gave her an artist for inspiration and she took the initiative to mimic the style.
I would certainly take a break from this and we'll talk about it in class. Focus on your Dexter. They're looking good.
yeah we have to start comping out the other campaigns, if anything, those might turn out being our final ones so lay off this one. I like the design better if the background color and the transparency were richer color.
ReplyDeleteI think maybe taking a break would help you. I will say that the background on this one is much better than before, but maybe it would help to keep the background bold? I like the picture but I am not 100% sure it's the right one, do you have any others?
